Series 2 – Needs on the frontline

Episode 1: Sneha Sunny, Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Acute General Medicine
In this first episode of our brand new series, Megan Morys-Carter, director of TheHill, sits down with Sneha Sunny, Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Acute General Medicine, to discuss her journey through ten years in the NHS, her drive to support further staff and patient groups, and how digital innovation can help to bring meaningful improvement in her area of work.
Episode 2: Charlie Winward, Neurorehabilitation Consultant Allied Health Professional and Katie Butler, Specialist Physiotherapist
On this second episode of our series about clinical needs, our director Megan Morys-Carter talks to Charlie Winward, consultant allied health professional in neuro rehabilitation and Katie Butler, highly specialist physiotherapist and clinical lead physiotherapist for stroke at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. They discuss how their jobs have changed with the adoption of digital innovation, the challenges to adoption, and the ultimate positives of innovation which make it worth committing to for the future.
Episode 3: Dr James Gamble, Consultant Cardiologist
James Gamble is a consultant cardiologist specialising in treatment of heart failure and implantation of pacemakers and related devices. James discusses how digital innovation has impacted his area of work, how it enables consultants to see more patients, and why it is part of the future of cardiac care.
Episode 4: Dr Emily Lord, Sexual Health Consultant and Clinical Lead
Megan is joined by Emily Lord, consultant and clinical lead of the Oxfordshire Sexual Health Service (OSHS). Together, they discuss the role of digital innovation in the NHS, and how Emily has been able to bring it into use at OSHS despite the challenges there can be in implementing new innovations.
Episode 5: Dr Sudhir Singh, Geriatric and General Medicine Consultant and Clinical Director
Megan is joined by Sudhir Singh, consultant in geriatric medicine and general medicine, and clinical director for acute medicine and rehabilitation at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Their discussions range from the difficulties of bringing innovation into the NHS, to Sudhir’s professional development and leadership style, and cover how to make organisational needs meet clinical needs.

Dr Rachael Grimaldi, was inspired to create CardMedic® after reading a news article about a critically ill Covid-19 survivor, terrified when unable to understand healthcare staff through the PPE barrier. She is co-founder and CEO of this multi award-winning unique digital communication tool - endorsed by NICE and ORCHA, and part of the Department for International Trade's Digital Health Export Offer. She talks to TheHill's Director, Megan Morys-Carter about how it all started.
Episode 2: Healthcare Dynamics
In our autumn season of discussions, Megan Morys-Carter, director of TheHill speaks to health and care workers about their digital innovations and the journey they have been on as they champion digital innovation in the NHS. In the second in this series, she speaks to Dr George Hadjipavlou about HealthCare Dynamics, the start-up he founded with Richard Siviter.
