Concentric
Since successfully applying to the 2021 MAA, Concentric Health has been on a constant upward trend with the support of TheHill. Having gone from an eight-week feasibility trial at OUH to becoming the most widely used digital consent system in the NHS, our collaboration with Concentric has been a great success and hugely rewarding for all involved.
Cardiolyse
Cardiolyse joined us at our OpenAI Boot Camp in 2020 and continued with our MAA program in 2021. Since our collaboration began, Cardiolyse have progressed from a feasibility trial at Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) through optimisation of their remote monitoring solution with clinicians, to a 6 month pilot at OUH. This pilot has produced glowing feedback from users, with 100% of patients feeling safe at home being monitored by Cardiolyse, and 100% feeling that being monitored at home by Cardiolyse has improved their quality of life.
Digostics
Since joining the MAA in 2022, Digostics have been able to exhibit their home diabetes testing service, GTT@home, all over the world. From Stockholm to New Orleans, Thessaloniki to Dubai, the pioneering service has garnered plenty of interest with these diverse audiences, and they have been able to secure both funding and opportunities. Digostics won an Innovate UK grant in September 2022 to help further develop their innovation, which has helped to bring them to where they are today, having started a pilot scheme at University Hospital Southampton in November 2022 which has now moved to a higher volume second-phase.
Goggleminds
Having developed a virtual reality system to revolutionise training for doctors, Goggleminds have showcased their solution all over the world and have received glowing user feedback and great interest from healthcare providers. Having joined the MAA in 2022, they won the award for MedTech Startup from Start Up Wales the same year. The team then had the opportunity to showcase their technology at schools, universities, medical schools and in hospitals, letting them gather feedback from users at all skill levels. They have since been selected for the Open University Institute of Educational Technology’s EdTech Foundry, an incubator which will provide Azize and the team with further guidance on how to keep the company progressing as well as it has been.
Medwise
Medwise helps clinicians find answers to their clinical question faster than ever before. Using the latest transformer-based neural networks, the Medwise platform retrieves paragraphs from biomedical journal articles and guidelines to provide instant answers to clinical queries. TheHill have supported them through the MAA 2020 and prepared them for the Investment Day where they pitched to potential investors, and we continue to support them as their accomplishments and recognition continue.
