Paralympic Success for Start-Up Labs Graduate

We’re excited to see one of our Start-Up Labs companies announce a new and exciting partnership ahead of the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Accessercise have formed an official partnership with the Malta Paralympic Committee, allowing their Paralympic athletes to utilise the app for their training routines in the lead up to the games and beyond.

Malta has become the first ever National Paralympic Committee to adopt the app to cater for their athletes.

Accercise Co-Founder Ali Jawad explained in this LinkedIn post how much this partnership means to him, having previously competed for Paralympics GB at 4 Paralympic Games himself.

The app was originally created for the disability community, but the team realised quickly it could also cater for elite para athletes and are looking forward to working with other National Paralympic Committees in the future.

Ali took part in our Start-Up Labs programme in 2024, sponsored by Barclays and supported by The Oxford Trust, which was a short programme focused on early-stage companies to get their innovations off the ground, with the support of nurses, midwives and allied health professionals (NMAHPs).

We look forward to seeing Accessercise grow further in the future.
